Maxim Burtsev was born in Munich in 2002 and began classical piano lessons in 2008. In 2012 he started jazz piano lessons with Vitaly Burtsev, whereupon in 2017, at the age of 15, he began studying jazz piano with Andreas Kissenbeck at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich.
