Sara Metafune

Sara Metafune, born in 1999, graduated in Solo and Chamber Piano with 110, cum laude and honorable mention under the guidance of M^ Mariagrazia Lioy at the Conservatorio “Tito Schipa” in Lecce. She specialized at the Fondazione Paolo Grassi in Martina Franca under the guidance of M^ Francesco Libetta; she is currently attending the specialization course in Chamber Music at the Accademia Santa Cecilia in Rome, first with M^ Carlo Fabiano and now with M^ Ivan Rabaglia. In February 2019, she made her debut at the Teatro Politeama in Lecce with the orchestra of the Conservatorio “Tito Schipa”; she then played for the 45th Festival della Valle d’Itria in Martina Franca and for the 2020 concert season of the Accademia Filarmonica Romana (conducted by M^ Andrea Lucchesini). She has also performed in trio and duo for concerts organized by the Accademia di Santa Cecilia, at the Parco della Musica in Rome (Teatro Borgna and Sala Petrassi) and the Società Letteraria in Verona. She was selected as an artist within the first PianoCity Lecce review, for which she gave a recital, and was subsequently among the winners of the international “Scarlatti” competition in Trapani (Sicily), also receiving a scholarship for the best Scarlatti sonata.
