Alberto Manzo

Pianist Alberto Manzo made his debut at the age of 12 with Mozart’s Piano Concerto in A Major KV 488. His performances were published by Suonare News magazine following his victory in the “XVIII Rassegna dei Migliori Diplomati d’Italia a Castrocaro Terme e Terra del Sole” as the best graduate in Academic Year 2013/2014. He participated in Expo 2015 as a representative of the Conservatory of Lecce; he collaborated with violinist Aylen Pritchin, with Mariagrazia Lioy, with Scipione Sangiovanni in duo, with the orchestra of the Conservatorio Tito Schipa for the performance of Mendelssohn’s “Rondò brillante.” He was invited for three consecutive editions to the Mantua Chamber Music Festival “Trame Sonore,” and in 2019 he performed at the 45th Festival della Valle d’Itria. In 2016, he performed Chopin’s Concerto No. 2 with the orchestra of the SIMA Academy, under the direction of Francesco Libetta; the program was then performed again with the orchestra of the Conservatorio Tito Schipa in two other concerts in Brindisi and Lecce.

He graduated from the Conservatorio “Tito Schipa” in Lecce with full marks, praise and mention under the guidance of M^ Mariagrazia Lioy, and in 2018 he completed his studies at the Accademia Santa Cecilia in Rome with M^ Carlo Fabiano. In 2023, the CD “Logoi Neretinoi & Pianologie” was released with unpublished compositions such as Castérède, Libetta and Marinuzzi, recorded four hands with Scipione Sangiovanni and the Seraphicus ensamble. Again in 2023 he won the international “Munich Piano Competition” in Munich and the “Klaus Schilde” special prize.
